Building skills, connecting lives
and empowering people through woodworking
Our Mission is simple yet profound:
To empower veterans, first responders, and specialized groups through woodworking.
We do this by providing access to programs that are designed to educate, build camaraderie and deepen a sense of purpose.
Our areas of focus
-
Veterans
We provide veterans access to a 6-week woodworking class that gives them a meaningful way to channel creativity, reduce stress, and regain a sense of purpose and accomplishment. Veterans are also gifted a membership to the Workshop to continue their wood working journey.
-
First Responders
Providing wood shop access to first responders ensures they have a supportive space to decompress, manage stress, and connect with others in a creative, encouraging environment.
-
Children
Woodworking offers children a unique opportunity to develop fine motor skills, boost creativity, and enhance problem-solving abilities while building confidence and fostering patience through hands-on projects.
-
Neurodiverse Individuals
The Inspired Lumber Project prioritizes inclusivity, offering tailored woodworking experiences for individuals with developmental disabilities and neurodivergent needs.
“Woodworking is more than just a craft—
it is a powerful tool for building skills and fostering community.”
